Not cooling — fridge warm, freezer fine
GE side-by-side and French-door models frequently develop evaporator fan motor failures. The fan sits in the freezer section and circulates cold air into the fresh food compartment — when it stops, the freezer holds temperature while the fridge warms gradually over 24–48 hours.
Water pooling inside or on the floor

Squealing or thumping noise during the cycle

Dryer shuts off too early

Glass cooktop element not heating

F2 or F3 error — oven temp fault on range
F2 on GE ranges means the oven temperature has exceeded the maximum safe limit — usually caused by a failed temperature sensor sending a runaway reading. F3 means the sensor circuit is open. Both lock out the oven until the fault is resolved.
Continuous clicking when all burners are off
Continuous igniter clicking on GE gas ranges almost always means moisture in the igniter assembly from a boil-over or cleaning with excess water. GE's spark module design distributes spark current across all igniters simultaneously — one wet electrode can cause all burners to click.

Door not sealing — heat escaping
GE oven door gaskets are clipped into channels around the oven cavity opening. Over time — and especially after self-clean cycles — the gasket hardens and pulls away. Heat escaping around the door increases cooking times and causes the oven to cycle more frequently.
